Hot off the release of his upcoming movie trailer for The Materialists,
Pedro Pascal and Jennifer Aniston sparked romance rumors after they reportedly went on a three-hour dinner date. But before the internet could get too excited, sources with direct knowledge debunked dating rumors, telling TMZ, “They are not dating and the dinner was with a group of people, not just the two of them alone.”
The insider added, “Jennifer and Pedro are just friends with lots of mutual friends...and things are platonic, as has been the case between them for years now.”
According to photos obtained by Page Six and DeuxMoi, the pair hung out at the Sunset Tower Hotel’s Tower Bar in West Hollywood on Saturday, March 22, and chatted near the valet area outside.
Jennifer wore a black leather vest over a white T-shirt with black pants and boots to match while The Last of Us star donned a laidback look in a leather jacket, jeans, and loafers.
Of course, fans were very much here for Jen and Pedro, whether it’s a real-life romance or an on-screen pairing. They shared their excitement across social media as one fan wrote, “Jennifer Aniston with Pedro Pascal having dinner!? Am I dreaming!? Please.”
Another pointed out that Jen’s outfit seemingly pulled inspiration from her iconic Friends character, Rachel Green, as it looks nearly identical to her outfit from the series.
“Is she wearing the Rachel’s going to Paris look?!?” one Instagram comment on DeuxMoi’s post read while someone else wrote, “She's wearing the ‘I got off the plane’ outfit 🤣.”
On another side of the internet, people suspect that Pedro could potentially have a role in the upcoming season of Jennifer’s Apple TV+ series, The Morning Show. An interview featuring both actors with Reese Witherspoon at last year’s Critics Choice Awards started resurfacing over the weekend as Pedro’s fan accounts shared theories.
As he held Jennifer’s hand in the clip, she placed both of hers over his palm and mouthed “Oh, my God” as she broke the fourth wall and looked into the camera. While that went down, Reese gushed to Pedro about creating a “really good part” for him on the critically acclaimed show.
“Pitch it to me now,” he said during the interview. “I’m in. I’ll be waiting to hear from my agents. Draw it up. Send me a script. Or just pitch it to me in the room.”
Neither Jennifer nor Pedro’s reps have commented on his involvement with the project, but we can only dream.
